Bantam LL Blue, 2013-2014 (Strathroy Minor Hockey)

We have been invited to join Strathroy Red in a fun game during their practice time on Monday, March 10th from 7:30 to 8:30.  Hope to see everyone there. 

The last weekend of the holidays was a hockey-filled one for the Bantam LL Blue team. Following their regular Friday night practice, the boys took to the road on Saturday, January 4th to face the Lucan Irish.

Strathroy’s 2013 John Henry Memorial Tournament began on Friday, December 27th. In their first game of the event, the Strathroy Bantam LL Blue team took on the Southwest Bullets. Anyone watching that night could have been forgiven for thinking that the Bantam Blue team had lost their mojo. Despite a seemingly even match-up, the boys played without the enthusiasm or teamwork that they had recently displayed; the game ended with Southwest winning 1-0. Congratulations Strathroy Blue for your hard work so far in the John Henry Tournament! Based on tournament rules, it looks like we will be playing at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013.  Please be at the arena (blue pad) by 11:20 am. Let's go Bantam Blue!!

In a fabulous display of focused teamwork, the Strathroy Bantam LL Blue team overcame a 4-game losing streak. Although Sunday night's game against the Point Edward Blackhawks ended in a tie as opposed to a much-desired win, the Strathroy team that took to the ice was clearly determined to play their best and prove themselves capable of playing great hockey.
