Black White Match up!
What a game.!!
On Saturday, Novice White took on the undefeated Novice Black team in what has been the most exciting game of the season so far! Scoring was hard to get in the first period with both goalies playing exceptionally well. Strathroy Black was first to strike in the second period with goals by Josh, Tyson and Ryan to make it a 3-1 game. Solid defensive play by Nolan, Max, Trevor, Keagan and Tucker kept Novice White in the lead going into the third period. Hard battles for the puck continued into the third by Carter, Nial and Logan as Black battled back in the game to tie and get ahead 4-3. Brennon made several key saves to keep the game so close. Late in the third, nearing curfew, Tyson broke free from Strathroy Black defense to get a break on net. Tyson’s well placed shot eluded their goalie to tie the game at 4-4 which was the final score. All the boys should be proud of how hard they battled and worked every shift. The coaching staff met right after the game to discuss the Hard Hat winner. No clear winner could be decided as the whole team played their best. The Hard Hat went to the whole team for playing their best game of the year so far. Keep up the hard work boys.
