Tournament Welcome
Welcome to the 51st Annual Rep & AE Olympics
taking place at the Gemini Sportsplex and West Middlesex Memorial Arena in
Strathroy. The Strathroy & District
Minor Hockey Association will be hosting 49 teams from Novice through to Midget
this weekend for a total of 115 games.
The Olympics has built a reputation over the years for outstanding competition, sportsmanship and meeting new friends. This year’s tournament will be no different. We would also like to extend a special welcome to participating teams who have traveled great distances to be with us…..we are glad you are here!
On behalf of SDMHA and our local community, we thank you for your participation and encourage you to take in all that the tournament has to offer. Be sure to check out Pete's Sports located in the Gemini Sportsplex for skate sharpening and any last minute essentials. They will be open Friday 7am-9pm, Saturday 7:30am-9pm and Sunday 8am-5pm. Also don't forget to visit the raffle table located at the Gemini Sportsplex to try your chance at winning some of the great items donated by our local businesses. In addition, the Bauer Shooting Zone will be available and of course we have a photographer on hand to capture all those great action pictures, as well as many other vendors.
We would like to thank the volunteers from SDMHA and the local community for their continued support in making this weekend a success. While visiting Strathroy take the opportunity to do a little shopping at our local businesses and see everything our town has to offer or take in a meal at one of the restaurants (The Duke, McDonalds and Harveys/Swiss Chalet) that have provided discount coupons for all the teams.
