ONTARIO HOCKEY FEDERATION ANNOUNCES OPEN BORDERS – WHAT DOES IT MEAN? WHAT? On December 17, 2024, the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF – Ontario’s governing body of all sanctioned ice hockey) confirmed that for the 2025/2026 season, registration would be open borders across Ontario for the U10 and above age groups, including HL, BB, B, A, AA, AAA. U9 MD. Players are not restricted to one card, you may attend multiple evaluations during the allocated time period for each level. What are Prep Phase skates? An opportunity for players to maintain conditioning, leading up to tryouts, throughout April. Who can register? Any player currently rostered with SDMHA and who wants to attend A/B tryouts in May for 2025-26 U10-U16 Divisions (2016-2010 birth year). How many sessions? 4 x 50 Min skates April 1st to April 27th.
