OMHA & Medical Forms:
I got about half the teams medical & OMHA forms filled out yesterday at practice but I think a few were not there or I didn't connect with you on filling out those forms. At our next practice we'd like to have the forms & your contact information filled out so that the coaching staff has all necessary information for your child to be on the ice!
John Henry Baskets:
I mentioned this in the dressing room yesterday - as part of not paying registration to the John Henry tournament during Christmas, we as a team, have to contribute two baskets to the raffle tables. We can do this two ways: we each pitch in $10 towards baskets to get made up by a parent on our team. OR if you have a business and would like to donate a basket or two on behalf of our team, we can waive part or all the of the fee to the parents! I'll give it a week to see if anyone can step forward and if not, we'll just collect the money and take care of those baskets!
Volunteer hours:
You can earn back your volunteer hours by putting in 10 hours of time doing various volunteer tasks through the season. Starting this year, you can sign up for your volunteer hours via the volunteer website: https://signup.com/group/861277236059
As tasks are needed they will be posted on this website so check back often and don’t be discouraged that nothing is posted right now.
Photo Day!
We have our team & individual photo day on Saturday October 22nd at 12:20pm. After practice we will keep the kids in their hockey equipment - removing helmets & mouth guards and walk them down to the Westcast room for their photos! We will hand out photo forms at the next practice. Included with your registration fee is a 8x10 sheet that includes a team and individual photo. But a variety of photos and hockey cards are available for purchase from Luis Photography.
Green Jerseys:
It sounds like at our first practice an extra jersey was left behind if anyone has picked that up for us, let me know as we have a sad friend without a jersey!
Subscribing to Updates:
As you go along with minor hockey it can be a good idea to get accustomed to subscribing to updates via the website Please ensure you go to the main page of SDMHA website and sign up for text and/or Email updates from our team. The majority of our information will be relayed this way. In addition, you can also have our schedule download into your smart phone or iPad using the following link for our specific team: webcal://sdmha.org/webcal.ashx?IDs=1753 - This is a fantastic tool to sign up for all of your kids teams at once and without typing any more schedule in have it populate and change as the schedule changes. If you need help doing this, I'd be happy to help - it makes it so much easier to organize your calendar as well as being informed by doing so.
