SDMHA Board meeting highlights
Here are a few highlights from the Board Meeting of Oct 15th.

Fundraiser (Calendars and Summer Skate Flip flops) are due by Nov 1st. In order to get them into the Gemini on time, please ensure you give me your order and payment  by  Monday, Oct 27th at the game vs Lambton Shores.  Expected turn around time, provided all orders are in on time, is two weeks, so summer skates would be here in time for Christmas.

  • Susan Wilson is the SDMHA volunteer contact. Please select volunteer option on the SDMHA webpage for her contact information. Volunteering opportunities are filling quickly so please contact her directly and don’t wait for her to contact you.
  • This year all volunteer cheques are being handed to the Team Parent Rep at the monthly board meetings. I will be handing them out once I receive them. Keep in mind I will not receive them until the board meeting after the volunteering activity has been completed. If you have concerns regarding your volunteer cheque, please contact the person responsible for that volunteering opportunity and not the Treasurer.
  • 10-15 pylons are to be added to each Team locker.
  • Team “visitor or away”  socks will be sold to each player for $15 by the Team Manager and are a mandatory purchase. They will be good for two years so should not be required next year.
  • An e-mail referencing rules of timekeeping, was sent Friday to all Timekeepers.
  • Each team must submit two raffle/theme baskets or one raffle/theme basket and five items to be used at our tournaments/online auction and year end banquet.  Please do not solicit or canvas town businesses to obtain these items.  The baskets are due October 28th, at the Gemini from 5:00-9:00.   Mona (Josh Fulmer’s Mom) is putting the Major Midget basket together, so ask her at your next opportunity if she needs items or money contributed.
