Lefroy Icebreakers Year End Tournament Champs
This past weekend the Strathroy U9 MD team participated in the Lefroy
Icebreakers Year End Tournament.
They began the tournament playing the George Bell Titans, coming out on top with a 3-0 win. Next, they faced the Burlington Bulldogs and secured another two points with a 6-0 win to end the day.
Saturday morning they were back to play the Collingwood Blues, pulling out a 6-3 win with two short handed goals. This secured them a spot in the finals on Sunday afternoon.
In the final game, they faced the Collingwood Blues for the second time in the tournament. It was a tight game heading into the third period with a score of 2-2. They played hard and were able to come out as undefeated Tournament Champs with a 6-2 win.
Congrats on the Gold boys, it is well deserved!!!
