Thank You!
Hockey brings people together as was so powerfully demonstrated last November when we helped to host Hometown Hockey. The sudden but necessary cancellation of our Minor Hockey season left games that had yet to be played and series yet to be decided, and has us all feeling a little empty, craving the camaraderie and companionship that being a player, parent, grandparent or fan brings – we weren’t yet ready to hang up the skates! Like others, SDMHA was unable to properly end its season.
At this time, we would like to thank all of the coaches, managers and every other volunteer who helped with Strathroy District Minor Hockey Association this season. The hockey season cannot happen without the support of our parents and volunteers. Thank you for helping to provide a great experience for all of our players this year!
Even though most of the world is closed for business, SDMHA executive members continue to communicate and plan for the return of hockey. We are currently working on recruiting coaches through the online coaching application system, and will reschedule events as things develop. When our nation is ready for hockey to return, SDMHA will be ready!
If possible, please do your part by staying home and staying safe during these times. Keep your immediate loved ones close, and everyone else 2 metres away. We will all get through this together and will be back at the arena soon enough.
Be safe,
SDMHA Executive
