Registration is now open for all Non-Resident and Resident Players for U9MD and U10A through to U18A/B


TRYOUTS

·    $100 non-refundable tryout fee paid by credit card through registration

·    
Evaluations will begin
May 3rd for U10-U13A
May 5th for U14-U16A,                                          
May 11th for U11-U13B
May 11 for U15B

·    U9MD and U18 A/B tryouts are being held in the fall 

  • ·    Players are required to wear full equipment, including mouthguards (jersey & water bottle are not provided)
  • ·    U14 players must complete a body checking clinic before stepping on the ice. Players can participate in the offered SDMHA clinic or provide proof of completion.  U15 players who have not played contact hockey in the past must attend as well
  • ·    Coaches will offer a secure registration link to players they wish to sign; these offers will expire 
  • ·    Players must be registered to be eligible to receive registration offers
  • ·    Registered participants not rostered to an A team will be automatically transferred to the B tryout process (no additional fee required)

HOW CAN I BEST PREPARE?

·    •   Encouragement - While in a competitive environment, our focus is for players to find the right level of competition and development opportunities

·    •   Confidence - Desire to succeed and confidence will enable you to perform at your best

·    •  Nutrition and Hydration - Arriving nourished, hydrated and with plenty of rest will allow participants to provide the most focus on showcasing their skills

·    •   Equipped to compete - Comfortable, accurately fitted equipment.  Freshly sharpened skate blades

·    •   Take advantage of additional ice opportunities - Prep phase skates (registration & fee required) 

·    •   Monitor the calendar and team pages for each phase of the tryouts.  Coaches will be posting updates, changes and players expected to dress in the articles

·    •   Familiarize yourself with the tryout schedule - as players are released to B they will need to follow the appropriate team pages

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

·         Arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled ice time to check in and receive your pinnie for skills/intersquad skates

·         Registered players and goalies are eligible to be offered a rostered position at any point in the process

·         1 skills evaluation, 1 scrimmage, followed up with 2-4 exhibition games
