PEEWEE AE3-5 OMHA CHAMPIONS
Submitted By Admin on Monday, March 27, 2017
Game 6 landed the Strathroy Rockets sponsored by DJM controls in a must-win situation.

Collingwood & Strathroy were tied 5 points a piece.  With a packed house, the Rockets were down 1 goal after the second.  In the third period Dante Brock passed it back to Landon Dean who fired one past the Collingwood goalie to tie the game.  The teams both battled hard, Strathroy never letting up.  Then with 39 seconds to go in the 3rd period before heading to OT, Evan Townsend scored the game winner with assists to Teaghan Kinchen & Ben Gros.  In the final seconds, with win one Rocket in the box, Lucas Goulart stood tall in net focused the entire series & the team held off Collingwood to Win the coveted OMHA championship on home ice!

This team captured the elusive Triple Crown with a Regional Silverstick Win, International Silverstick win and then an OMHA championship.

Congratulations on a season that required a team effort and the players & coaches never deviated from this, always focused on working hard together to achieve a common goal!
