Strathroy District Minor Hockey Association 2021/22 registration is now open!


U6 (formerly PRESCHOOL) – U18 (formerly MIDGET DIVISIONS)

Please read carefully and completely for important information.

SDMHA recognizes that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the start of the next hockey season and amount of ice time is subject to change.  The Jr. Rockets are committed to the 2021-2022 season, but will take direction from the OMHA regarding the pandemic.  Registration fees will be reimbursed if the season is cancelled or our fee structure will be changed if there is a shortened season.


1. Click on the link to the online registration form below.  Fill in the required information, and read and accept both the General Information Registration Policy and Waiver Agreement and the SDMHA Social Media Policy Agreement. 

2. Send a $200.00 deposit via one of the payment methods outlined below to complete the registration.

                                                ***PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING***

Players are not considered registered until the online registration and waiver form are completed, AND a $200.00 per player deposit is received.  Please note that your player will not be entered into the HCR registration system until the deposit is received.  A registration email will be sent to the email provided once the conditions for registration are met, and your child entered into the system.

**If the required division reaches its limit before the deposit is paid, the player will be placed on a waiting list pending SDMHA's review of the division and registration numbers.  Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis - returning SDMHA players are not guaranteed a spot if registration becomes full.  Please be sure to register early!!

All new players must provide SDMHA a copy of their birth certificate.  It can mailed to 504 Riverview Drive, Strathroy, ON  N7G 4B3 or scanned to [email protected].  No late fees are added to new registrations.


U6 (formerly Preschool) (birth years 2017 & 2018):  $150.00 + $150.00 cash calendar

U6 total for one player = $300.00

U7 (formerly Initiation Program) (birth years 2015 & 2016):  $250.00 + $150.00 cash calendar

U7 total for one player = $400.00

U8 (formerly Minor Novice) (birth year 2014):  $300.00 + $150.00 cash calendar + $200.00 volunteer fee + Novice gate

U8 total for one player = $700.00

U9 (formerly Major Novice) (birth year 2013): $300.00 + $150.00 cash calendar + $200.00 volunteer fee + Novice gate

U9 total for one player = $700.00 00 (a Competitive Team fee will be added for Select Team players – TBD)

U11 (formerly Atom)(birth years 2011 & 2012):  $450.00 + $150.00 cash calendar + $200.00 volunteer fee + gate 

U11 total for one player = $900.00 **please add another $100.00 if your player wishes to try out

U13 (formerly PeeWee)(birth years 2009 & 2010):$500.00 + $150.00 cash calendar + $200.00 volunteer fee + gate 

U13 total for one player = $950.00 **please add another $100.00 if your player wishes to try out

U15 (formerly Bantam)(birth years 2007 & 2008): $500.00 + $150.00 cash calendar + $200.00 volunteer fee + gate 

U15 total for one player = $950.00 **please add another $100.00 if your player wishes to try out

U18 (formerly Midget)(birth years 2004, 2005, 2006):$500.00 + $150.00 cash calendar + $200.00 volunteer fee + gate

U18 total for one player = $950.00 **please add another $100.00 if your player wishes to try out

For families with more than 2 players, please wait for your invoice to be sent as multiple player discounts apply for families with more than 2 registrants.

CASH CALENDAR:  $150 (U6-U18 - sell your 15 tickets and make this money back) 

**NON REFUNDABLE if a registration refund is requested**

VOLUNTEER:  $200 (U8-U18 – sign up for 8 hours of time and you receive this back)

GATE PASS:  $50.00 for U8 & U9, $100.00 for U11 – U18 - 2 passes given, only one gate fee charged per family (based on division of oldest registrant)

TRYOUT :  $100 (applicable to U11 – U18 players only)

TRAVEL FEES:  $250 (this fee is only for players who make competitive teams and it is collected by the team once player is rostered). 


Fees are payable as follows:

1) Through cheque or money order to SDMHA, and can be dropped off or mailed to 504 Riverview Drive, Strathroy, ON  N7G 4B3

2) Email Transfers can be sent to [email protected]    Please note – it is auto-deposit.  No password required.

You must include your player’s full name in the etransfer memo in order for the etransfer to be completed.  IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT REFERENCED IN THE ETRANSFER, IT WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

You MUST forward your DEPOSIT and/or full payment NO LATER THAN MIDNIGHT, AUGUST 5th, 2021.  IF NO PAYMENT IS RECEIVED BY THIS TIME YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE CHARGED A $150/PER FAMILY LATE FEE.   *As mentioned above, please remember that your child will not be registered in the HCR until a deposit is paid.



$200 deposit due immediately with registration (your player is not registered until it is received, so best to send immediately upon registering) 

September 5th – remainder of the invoice due IN FULL  **$150 late fee applies after this date if other arrangements are not made.

PERMISSION TO SKATE (for players wishing to try out for AAA, AA ONLY!)
Players must be registered with SDMHA before permission to skate will be granted. NO Exceptions. To request a permission to skate form you will need to contact Todd Henderson, OMHA Rep, ([email protected]


Respect in Sport Parent Program
OMHA has made it mandatory that one parent from every family must complete the on-line. If you are new to minor hockey or have not yet completed the course, please do so or your child will not be able to be rostered to a team. You will need your certificate number to register.   Respect in Sport | Parent Program Course Log-in

The Ontario Government has enacted Rowan’s Law (Concussion Safety), 2018, S.O. 2018, c. 1 (“Act”). Ontario Regulation 161/19, the Act requires all sport organizations as defined in the Regulation (“Sports Organization”), which includes the Ontario Hockey Federation (“OHF”), to have a Concussion Code of Conduct.  All Players are to hand in this form to their coach on the first day of practice in September.  Please review under your players appropriate age before signing the form.


U15 and U18 players and their parents will be required to read, sign and adhere to SDMHA’s Drug and Alcohol Policy, which can be found on our web site in the Policy and Procedures Manual.


Refund policy can be found on the website at SDMHA.org.

NSF cheques are subject to a $25 administration fee.

All players and members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct Policy and the SDMHA Social Media Policy that can be found on our web site in the Policy and Procedures Manual.

Your registration signifies you understand and agree that your child's personal information will be kept by SDMHA for the sole use of SDMHA and the OMHA over the course of this hockey season.  Please contact SDMHA directly if you do not wish your child’s picture to be displayed on our team boards.
You can pick up your cash calendar packages at the tryouts and sorting skates in September.
