I am excited to introduce the following members to the SDMHA board:

Rick Taylor is our new Coaching Director for the Strathroy Minor Hockey Association. Rick brings a wealth of experience to the role, having coached for several years with the Lambton Jr. Sting program. During his time there, he had the privilege of watching many of his players move on to successful careers in junior hockey, ranging from the OHL to Jr. C, and even prep schools in the U.S. After a few years off to focus on family, Rick joined SDMHA in the 2023-2024 season as an assistant coach with the U18A team and is currently coaching his son’s U7 team. With his extensive coaching background, Rick is committed to being a resource for our coaches and mentoring them to help our players develop, learn the game, and, most importantly, have fun.

Amy Stubbs has accepted the role of U9 and Below Director, bringing with her a deep passion for hockey and a wealth of knowledge. A lifelong member of the Strathroy community, Amy has been involved in the hockey world for a long time. With players moving out of U9, moving into U9 and another joining U5, she is eager to focus on the growth and development of young players. Amy is dedicated to fostering integrity, sportsmanship, and a love for the game, believing that strong communication is key to success at these early levels. Her extensive experience and commitment to nurturing the next generation of hockey players make her an invaluable addition to our SDMHA team.

Tyler Kettler as our new OMHA and Development Director for Strathroy Minor Hockey. Tyler brings a wealth of experience, both as a player and a coach. His hockey journey began with SDMHA before he moved on to the Elgin-Middlesex Canucks program. He is also continuing his coaching career with the Elgin-Middlesex Canucks.
