Strathroy "Petes Sports" Major Midgets faced strong competition this past weekend, losing to the Huntsville Otters 2-1 in overtime in the bronze medal game. The midgets faced teams from St. Marys, Huntsville, Collingwood and Tillsonburg going 1-3-1 during the tournament.

The Strathroy "Petes Sports" Major Midgets played just two games this past week, coming away with a 2-2 tie and a 4-0 win. Both games were played at home, the first against Wallaceburg and the second game they hosted St. Marys.
On Monday October 17th the Midgets controlled the majority of the play and had several good scoring chances but just couldn't solve the Wallaceburg goaltender. The result was a 2-2 tie on home ice.
On October 24th the Midgets hosted St. Marys and dominated the game winning 4-0. Jake Alkins led the way with two goals with singles going to Gary Lewis and Taylor Rioux.
