2020 IP/Minor Novice JAMBOREE TOURNAMENT RULES

                                                                                      

1.      This tournament is open to OMHA and Alliance registered IP and Minor Novice teams.

 

2.      All play is to exhibit the best in good sportsmanship and good conduct.

 

3.      Each team shall list a carded coach and trainer on each game sheet.

 

4.      Each team must submit their Game Participation List prior to each game.

 

5.      IP teams will be guaranteed three games and Minor Novice will be

         guaranteed four.

 

6.      Four verses four plus goaltender.

 

7.      IP games will take place on third ice with bumper dividers.  Minor Novice games will take place on half ice with rink boards. 

 

8.      Regulation blue pucks will be used in both divisions.

 

8.      All Divisions Length of Games:

                 IP – 2 minute warm-up 38 minute game

                 Minor Novice – 2 minute warm-up 48 minute game

                 Run clock with 2 minute buzzer

 

9.      Buzzer is set to two minute shift length intervals.  On the buzzer players are to leave the puck as is and return to the bench.   If there are fewer than four on the bench, the active player designated to stay out for the following shift must tag up at the bench prior to racing to play the loose puck.

 

10.  Pucks out of play – referee drops puck to non-offending team.

 

11.  Once the goaltender freezes the puck the team that shot the puck backs off.  Goaltender then passes the puck to a teammate to begin play in the other direction.

 

12.  Off-side & Icing will not be called, play will continue. 

 

13.  Scores and standings will not be recorded.  Round Robin games only.

 

14.  Benches will be shared.

15.  Refs will be present on the ice to control the game.  Coaches will remain on the bench.

                       

 

The tournament committee reserves the right to make all decisions regarding the interpretation of the rules and regulations and all decisions are final.  No appeals are allowed.  We will not under any circumstances speak to anyone other than the Manager or Head Coach.  Please communicate this rule with other members of coaching staff and team parents as abuse of this rule may result in your team’s expulsion from the tournament.
