The intent of the tournament is to provide an atmosphere for Local and House League players that promotes citizenship, goodwill and sportsmanship through competition.

The founder, John Henry, was a native North American and long time resident of the Strathroy area.  He spent countless hours coaching and managing Local and House League Teams..
