On behalf of the Strathroy & District Minor Hockey Association, the Tournament Committee, and Strathroy-Caradoc WELCOME! To the 46th AE Olympics! A lot of planning has taken place to make this tournament weekend fun for all. This year we are hosting 30 teams that represent the Atom, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget Divisions. Enclosed in each “Team Package” is a copy of the tournament rules, game schedules, tournament survey form to complete and return to the tournament office, and a local map. Tournament updates will be posted on our website at www.strathroyminorhockey.com to keep you up-to-date with point standings, game times, and medal game information.
During the tournament there are lots of exciting activities planned at the Gemini Sportsplex.
Hockey collectibles will be for sale, “Lucky Square” 50/50 Draws, and Raffle Tables full of prizes that would interest everyone. Get your tickets in the main foyer of the Gemini Sportsplex. Raffle Table Ticket Draws will be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday November 19, 2011. Prizes will need to be claimed within 30 days of notification of winning. Come and try your luck!
The Gemini Sportsplex Canteen will be opening at 7:00 a.m. on each day of the tournament and will offer breakfast and lunch items for purchase. For skate sharpening or sporting goods you can contact Pete’s Sports at the Gemini Sportsplex or Strathroy Sports Excellence 7 Front Street West (519) 245-3796.
During the tournament for emergency purposes you may contact the Tournament Office @ (519) 245-0560 during the tournament hours only. While in Strathroy for medical emergencies dial 9-1-1 or call the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital (519) 245-1550 located at 395 Carrie Street, Strathroy.
