HomeTown Hockey weekend
Few notes on our novice weekend:
11.15 am Saturday, vs Petrolia (Green pad). Need a 3 or 4 volunteers, at least one with skates/bucket to co ordinate set up and take down of the dividers. Our goaltending brothers have returned, should be an exciting match up with Petrolia.
2.30 pm Saturday-downtown we have our road hockey time. We will have our group (+ a few players) split. Please arrive early (I'd recommend 20 minutes) to sign off on waivers for the kids to play. Parking will be at a premium and there are shuttles from Walmart and Gemini. We have jersey's supplied by Dr Howley and will also have our team jersey's (just in case).
9.45 am Sunday-practice at gemini (green). Full ice/single team ice time.
5 ish pm Sunday-approx time we should gather for the parade. The map is on our association site. We are looking for full participation. I will bring our away 'reds' and also collect them after the parade. Please check the forecast. Parking will be at a premium.
8.20 pm (for Brandon and Steve)-Pats at Ravens.For those who haven't paid yet, we continue to collect our tournament fees for Simcoe and Aylmer.
As well, Ms Muylaert may be collecting funds for our team baskets that we (as a group) are required to donate to our association's hosted tourneys.
The association website also (now) has volunteer opportunities listed for this weekend.
quick plug-Muggs has just re opened downtown, on the stretch where hometown hockey is taking place. They have a number of cool, local player jersey's with write ups on our local players who have moved onwards and upwards over the years. Also one of Mrs Shea's favorite coffee place.
