Novice Rep Sweeps Warriors Tournament
The Strathroy Jr Rockets Novice Rep Team participated in the Novice A Division of the Warriors Tournament in St. Catharines this past weekend.
The team came together fast and rolled out to 4-0 round robin record by defeating the King Rebellion, Lindsay Muskies, Stoney Creek Warriors and Sudbury Wolves. On Sunday they began their day by dominating the Hespeler Shamrocks 4-1 in the semi finals and set up a rematch with the King Rebellion in the finals. After a scoreless first period - the team began to chip away and mounted another 4-1 victory to take home the Novice A Championship.
The coaching staff would like to thank the parents and players for their support and commitment over the entire season. As it showed on the ice this weekend - these kids really came together this season and enjoyed playing the game for each other. They competed, skated and didn't quit the entire weekend and we are proud to see them end the season as champions.
