Regional SilverStick Champs !!
The Strathroy Jr Rocket Peewee AE team, sponsored by DJM Controls, traveled to South Huron this weekend for the Regional Silver Stick Championship Tournament and walked away as tournament champions.
After going undefeated in round robin play, the team faced a determined Listowel Cyclones team in the Semi-Finals and after a hard fought battle walked away with a 4-1 victory. In the finals the Jr. Rockets faced the Petrolia Oilers. After two scoreless periods, Ashton Peters opened the scoring midway through the third period. Braydon Townsend added another tally late in the game to give the Rockets a 2-0 lead. A hardworking empty net goal by Peters sealed the victory for the Peewee AE team who walked away as Regional Silver Stick Champions. Lukas Brants recorded the shutout in the victory. Every single team member contributed to an amazing weekend of hockey. During the 5 games played throughout the tournament the rockets scored a total of 22 goals while only allowing 3 goals against !

The DJM Controls Peewee AE team now moves on to the International Silver Stick Tournament in Pelham January 8th – 11th.
