Team Building Paintball Day
This past weekend the coaches took the boys out to adrenaline paintball for some team bonding time. In this picture poor sandy got sniped by navy seal Kyle Cowan.. more pics in gallery
They were a little nervous to start the day but by the time we had to leave we couldn't get them out of there. Other than a few welts, the boys did very well to learn how to work together to achieve a goal. This sport requires the same team characteristics and vision as hockey. So we had each kid say something that you need to be a successful hockey team and how that would apply in paintball. Some answers were sacrifice, never leave a man behind, effort, protect, strategy, teamwork & communication. From the first game to the last game you could see these words become actions and how much better they got once they figured it out, which then lead to achieving the goal.(shoot coach kyle). Best line of the day goalie Luke Winegarden asks " if we win omha can we come paintballing again" gotta love it.
