Hotel Update:
In talking it over with the coaches, we felt that $130 + tax, plus the fact Holiday Inn Express required us to book for 2 nights was a little steep. You can drive back and forth to Dresden quite a few times for the approximate $300 it would cost each family if they decided to stay over.
Therefore:
Screw Holiday Inn Express in Chatham.
A call was placed to the Howard Johnson in Ridgetown and we have reserved 15 rooms and they are on hold until Jan. 22 at rate of $65. a night. It has a pool and also has a large room that we could use for team gatherings, (mini sticks?) and some adult beverages.
It's nothing special, but it is a lot cheaper than Chatham. If you are going to stay over and want to book, the special rate is reserved under "Strathroy".
